This year, I went deep inside myself for inspiration.
Italian by birth, I lived for several years in Ischia, the largest island in the Gulf of Naples next to Capri.
Italy flows in my veins. More than a country it is an essential component for me and I am strongly imbued with this southern culture.
For this collection I wanted to pay homage to the women of the South. These sublime and fiery women who are among those we cannot forget.
I have imagined chic, sensual and refined pieces, with an exacerbated femininity and assertive cuts like the impetuous character of the Neapolitan women, while preserving a lot of modesty and delicacy.
For me, Southern Italy is a real mix between modernity and tradition, so I wanted to bring out this contrast by creating modern pieces while highlighting this slightly outdated side which recalls the charm and softness of yesteryear and the images that come to mind when we evoke the Italian dolce vita.
Perhaps you will feel the warmth of the omnipresent sun, perceive the smell of lemon trees, bougainvillea, jasmine and the powerful aroma of caffè ristretto.
Listening carefully, you may hear the lapping of the waves, laughter and fragments of lively conversation.
Perhaps you will imagine a large family table, cheerful and endearing people with colourful personalities and boundless generosity.
“Riva Destra” refers to the right side of Ischia Porto.
The chic and trendy place on the island.
A lively stroll along the port where people come to take the “aperitivo”, dinner of ischitan specialities and dancing until the end of the night.
There is a special atmosphere here, a clever mix of authenticity and typical Italian elegance.
